Scenic Beach Walk

Scarborough Sea Front Circular Walk is a 8.0 kilometer loop trail located near Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, trail running, and bird watching.

A circular walk on the North Yorkshire coast, around Scarborough’s South Bay and sea front and on to the Castle headland. Wildlife including foxes, peregrine falcons, kittiwakes, and harbour porpoise can be spotted depending on the time of year. As you round the headland, the North Bay (which has become popular with surfers) comes into view. Walking around the North Bay you reach The Sands Complex and the entrance to the Open Air Theatre, where you cross the road and walk back through Peasholm Park and Peasholm Glen, joining the cinder track and back to the starting point. This is a fairly easy walk, mostly on surfaced footpaths plus a short stretch of beach (providing the tide is out). There are no stiles or other obstacles on route, but you will need to negotiate some flights of steps. Allow 2.5 hours

What our customers say...

Set in a quiet location within easy reach of the East coast resorts. We stayed for four nights.
Our request to arrive mid afternoon was readily agreed to and we received an excellent welcome.
Breakfast was excellent and we had a very good evening meal.
The staff were happy to converse, Robert, the owner, who we spoke to on a couple of occasions.
Adverse comments recently appearing on this site are very hard to believe.
We can thoroughly recommend a stay here.
